The project on ethical design from Afghanistan brings together Art & Development for women, whilst also presenting to the western world the richness of other cultures. Royah, the ‘vision’ in Dari, was set up in Kabul in 2005 by a handful of women who wanted to make a difference. Drawing on Afghanistan’s rich cultural history, we create contemporary fashion using Afghan textiles and Italian expertise.
